The Indigenous Couples’ Getaway Getaway is coming up in Gatineau, QC. This relationship retreat will help you reconnect, improve your communication and discover more joy for the lifetime you share!
There will be six sessions with practical wisdom and guided conversations to help you and your partner grow a healthier, more joy-filled relationship.
Each session will help you move to a place of greater closeness and trust. You’ll gain new tools to strengthen the foundation of your relationship in the important areas of communication, conflict, sex and spirituality.
Speakers
First Nations speaker-couples will be teaching together to help you make this relationship investment.
Karen & Noah Coonishish have been married 34 years. They have 3 children and 2 beautiful granddaughters and 1 son-in-law. They have been speakers for FamilyLife since 2001.
They currently live in Mistissini, Quebec.
Gloria and Lance Cooper have been married for over 14 years. Their love story of how two people can overcome adversity and become “one” is an interesting tale. They hope that their love and dedication to one another is a beacon of hope for many. Together with their 3 sons, Landon, Ryan and Nikamoon, they enjoy doing many family activities together and making meaningful memories.
Allen and Marlene Matoush, from Cree Nation of Mistissini, Quebec. They love to spend time in the bush with family and friends and they enjoy tea and bannock, which makes them feel connected with a strong sense of belonging. They love to help other couples because God helped to heal their relationship: “We see how God has blessed and healed us in our struggles. “We, therefore, feel so blessed, confident and encouraged to be able to share with other couples the pain and joys of learning to love each other by trusting God each day.”
